LAKE GEORGE - On a beautiful spring day in Lake George, the talk is of indoor activities. Namely, casino gambling.
The governor has said he wants to put three full-fledged casinos in upstate New York as a way to improve the economy, but he's not showing his cards about where they'll go -- leaving communities all over the area wondering if they should try to get in the game.
"The gambling train is coming and do we want to get on it and see where it's going to go at the end? Or, if we stand by in station and it passes us by, it's too late," said Lake George Mayor Robert Blais.
Blais set up a public forum held Tuesday night at the Fort William Henry, where speakers were explaining the ins and outs and the public heard the pros and cons.
The owners of the 300-acre Roaring Brook Resort, just outside the village, would like to have their property used for one of New York's new casinos.
