Chuckwagon Challenge to benefit Double H Ranch | Community Spirit

The 21 Annual Double H Ranch Gala’s Chuckwagon Challenge will take place on June 22 at The Great Escape Northwoods Picnic Grove. The event will begin at 9 a.m.

According to a statement, this year’s challenge is an Amateur Southwest Culinary Competition where five chefs compete for the grand prize of $15,000. The overall prize purse of $25,000 will be distributed among the five finalists.

The contestant prize money is sponsored by Marian and Norman Wolgin and Amy’s Ventures. A fund created in memory of Amy Wolgin Wiener to benefit children and families.

Gala attendees will serve as judges (people’s choice award) and have an opportunity to sample the finalist prepared recipes.

The Gala will be held on June 29 from 5 to 11:30 p.m. The evening includes cocktails, silent auction, plated dinner and a brief program to include a Camper Sponsorship Appeal and live auction. Click here to learn more about Double H Ranch.
