A major local bridge is about to undergo some needed improvements but the work is going to cause headaches for commuters.

More than 100,000 drivers cross the twin bridges in Halfmoon every day.

Now, the state is spending $29,000,000 to make it safer.

Drivers can expect delays starting the weekend of September 7.
